Douglasville

The town of Douglasville was established on February 25, 1875. The core area of downtown Douglasville is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district. It serves as an example of a turn-of-the-century southern railroad town. The sidewalks of downtown are adorned with several Victorian era commercial designed buildings. Many of the buildings resemble Romanesque, Italiante and Queen Anne Periods. Many of the doorways and windows have Gothic arched openings and hooded windows

A new addition to Douglasville, Arbor Place is a four million square foot regional mall at the intersection of Interstate 20 and Chapel Hill Road. The addition of this impressive facility has brought residents a large selection of stores and it has also created plenty of opportunities for continued developments.

One of the greatest perks of living in Douglasville is its location. Just minutes away from Atlanta, residents only have to travel a short distance to spend a day in the big city. Six Flags Over Georgia is only ten minutes away and access to most sporting facilities are also in close proximity.
